The reason for the Club's existence is to train and coach swimmers, of all abilities, so that they can reach their full potential as competitive swimmers. The Club is therefore engaged regularly in galas and competitions throughout west central Scotland, and sometimes further afield.

Information about the Club, galas and other events can be found on the Club Notice Boards which are located on the wall adjacent the entrance to the public viewing gallery. The boards are updated regularly and should be viewed on a regular basis in order to keep up to date with events and results.
The Club is split into 4 squads, A, B, C & D, with entry to each squad being based on a combination of age and ability. Generally swimmers will progress up through the squads as they gain experience and their technique and times improve until they reach the A squad. As the swimmers progress, the amount of time they will be expected to commit to training will also increase. Generally coaches will start a swimmer from the development squad with 2 training sessions per week. This will rise to 5 - 6 sessions in A and B squads. Current training schedules are detailed on the 'Training' page.
The club benefits from a combination of professionally employed coaches, committed parents and other dedicated volunteers that jointly comprise the Club Committee. The current Committee and contact details are listed on the 'Committee' page.
All parents are strongly encouraged to take an interest in the running of the Club and active participation in Club events. Committee meetings are held on the third Monday of every month at 7.30pm at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds Pavilion, Hamilton and there is an open invitation to all parents to attend any of the meetings and contribute to the discussions.
